Announcing our New Northern Michigan Sites for Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Mackinaw City, Boyne City and Mackinac Island!

We are pleased to have recently expanded our business territory to include communities further up north - and we've partnered with Concierge Publications of Harbor Springs to manage all the details. Concierge produces a magazine in Northern Michigan, very similar to the Ludington Area Visitors Guide published by Advantage Marketing. In fact, Kathie Breighner, the owner of Concierge, and Lynne Stechschulte, the owner of Advantage Marketing, have been working together on many projects since they first became acquainted in 1991.

The Northern Michigan network of sites content is managed by Concierge, a long-standing business well known for serving communities up north with quality publications, excellent marketing services, and a passion for the northern living lifestyle. Included in the northern territory site family is a general "up north" site called VisitMichiganUpNorth.com and we're beginning to generate a fair amount of traffic thanks to Kathie's devotion to filling the site with great articles about the area.

So, as you travel further north past Manistee and beyond Traverse City, you'll find that Concierge presents a volume of information about the lovely, small communities and that relaxed "Up North" feeling right here on the web. Here are a few Northern Michigan gems which make great summertime or anytime destinations:

Charlevoix - on the shores of Lake Michigan and Round Lake, is picturesque and exciting. The recently remodeled waterfront park is a jewel complete with a spectacular water fountain. Charlevoix has been the summer place for generations of people from the Midwest and the US, and with good reason. There is so much so see, do and enjoy in Charlevoix: Venetian Festival, summer art fair, sailing, boating, beaches, golfing, Apple Fest, Concerts in the Park, and more.

Harbor Springs - Located on the shores of Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan, this has been a resort destination for more than a century. Situated on a beautiful natural, deep harbor, this tiny, beautiful community has a wonderful downtown business district with fabulous shopping overlooking the water. Summer is the season when many visit Harbor Springs, with concerts on the waterfront, an art fair in the park, wine festival, sailing, kayaking, beach time, fishing, hiking, biking, and golfing.

Petoskey - Gaslight Shopping District with Views of the Lake Michigan Bay
Petoskey, on the shores of Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan, welcomes visitors to play and stay as it has for generations of guests. Ernest Hemingway is not the only person to find beauty and relaxation in Petoskey. This 6,000 person community is a destination for visitors because it has so much to offer. Ernest Hemingway loved his visits to the Petoskey area and you will, too.

Boyne City - The charm of Boyne City lies in its art district, summer street music, and the Morel Festival. Set along Lake Charlevoix, the summer activities are endless, and in the winter, Boyne Mountain is just minutes away, a destination for those who love to ski and snowboard.

Mackinaw City - Gateway to the UP, on the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, sits at the tip on the lower peninsula and guards the Straits of Mackinac as it has for centuries. Here you'll find quaint shopping, historic lighthouses, and a spectacular view of the Mackinac Bridge. Catch a ferry over to Mackinac Island and spend the day exploring its natural beauty.

Mackinac Island - This is a place like none other, both historic and beautiful. A relaxing ferry ride from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace takes you to the island, where no vehicles are permitted. Take a fun bike ride on the seven mile road around the island, visit the unique shops, and tour the famous Grand Hotel.
