Today wasn't the best day weather-wise to embark upon this project, but the goal was to make a dramatic difference in the garden's appearance as quickly as possible. We selected the strip along the road for the most impact.

Despite the intense heat and glaring sun, we officially started the journey of working in the garden and documenting our improvements to develop more content for our Homes and Gardens websites.

Nathan, a Ludington High School student in need of a summer job, has agreed to be our lawn and garden guy for this new venture. We're glad to have him join the team.

Here are some quick before and after photos to show today's accomplishments. Nathan said he liked the work--listening to tunes and getting a tan while he learned to edge a bed. Oh, to be a teenager again!

Who is visiting your website?

Posted for Staff Blog by Jake Knight of Advantage Marketing on June 29th, 2010
Wouldn't it be nice to know who was visiting your website? Perhaps then you could get picture of why they were coming and what they were for. One of the main differences between a website and a brick and mortar store is the anonymity. You can't tell where they are from let alone why they came.
Does that mean that you should just not worry about it at all?
Hardly.
Imagine for a moment that you knew that all the people coming to your site were interested in one page...Directions. Would that change how you handled your site? Perhaps you would then make that information more easily accessible. People would be able to better find you, which would mean better chance for sales.

Sounds like a great advantage if you ask me. In fact if want more info go ahead. It's jake@ludingtonadvantage.com
